  A Few Moral Dilemmas

  how do you judge what makes a certain action moral?

  do you feel that morality is determined by universal rules (either determined by a deity or by general agreement) or do you feel that it is more important to consider the consequences of a decision and its affect on the greater good depending on the details of the situation?.

  for example, would you be willing to kill one person to save two, or ten, or a million?

  I love these, "what if" scenarios, that never seem to actually mean anything.

  Let's do a "what if" Obama were a good president? Would less people in America feel hopeless? Now those are some real questions....

  You get the idea.... Once you begin to write it out you will see what is bothering you the most. I've done this exercise quite a few times and it really gets me focused to identify the "big stuff" and the "little stuff". Eventually you realize that life is what it is, and you can change some things, others you cannot.

  Tomorrow morning the sun will come up. Monday morning... the sun will come up AND the Stock Market will be open again!!! Wooooohoooooo!!! Now THERE'S something to be happy about!
